Join us on an unforgettable 8.5 km adventure through the breathtaking landscapes of La Vall de Gallinera! This scenic route is a true gem all year round but becomes absolutely magical in spring when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom.
Our journey begins in the charming village of Benissiva, where we’ll embark on a circuit that includes a 400-meter ascent. First, we’ll explore the mysterious Coveta Obrada cave, adding a touch of excitement to our hike. As we continue, a ridge trail rewards us with spectacular panoramic views of the valley, leading us to the iconic arch-shaped rock, Peña Foradá. Here, we’ll pause to enjoy a well-deserved lunch surrounded by nature’s beauty.

Discover the Hidden Gem of Valencia: El Cañón del Júcar
If one word could capture the essence of this place, it’s spectacular. Often referred to as “The Mini Grand Canyon” by National Geographic, El Cañón del Júcar is a breathtaking natural wonder that remains surprisingly undiscovered outside the Valencian Community.
Our guided walk takes you along the most accessible and stunning stretch—just 10km round trip with a gentle 200m ascent, making it suitable for most fitness levels. The scenery will leave you in awe, and it’s no surprise that many of our members love to return for a second (or third!) visit.
Along the way, we’ll explore fascinating old mining tunnels before heading to the charming town of Cofrentes. There, we’ll relax with a drink and enjoy a short walk up to the historic castle, offering panoramic views of the area.

Easter Saturday Coastal Cycle – Oropesa del Mar to Castellón de la Plana (27km)
Join us this Easter Saturday for a relaxed 27km coastal cycle along one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the region. This is a flat, easy ride, perfect for enjoying the scenery, fresh sea air, and good company.
We will meet outside El Cabanyal train station at 9:15 sharp. Please arrive on time — if you miss the train, you miss the trip! The journey from El Cabanyal is about 20 minutes shorter than from the city centre.
From here we’ll take the train to Oropesa del Mar, where we’ll begin the day with a morning coffee by La Concha Beach, named for its beautiful shell shape.
Our ride starts with 6km along the stunning Via Verde, a former coastal railway line that has been transformed into a scenic cycling route. Along the way we’ll stop at Torre Colomera, a 16th-century watchtower where we’ll park the bikes and take a short walk up to enjoy the spectacular coastal views.
Next we’ll cycle along the seafront in Benicàssim, famous for its elegant 19th-century seaside villas. At the southern end of the beach we’ll stop to enjoy a picnic lunch by the sea.
After lunch we continue through fragrant orange groves and into the historic centre of Castellón de la Plana, where we’ll celebrate the end of the ride with a well-earned drink at the lively Mercado Central de Castellón before catching the train back to Valencia.

Turia Canyon Circular Hike – Benagéber
Most people know the famous Turia canyon walk near Chulilla, but far fewer have discovered this spectacular and much quieter canyon further upstream at the Benagéber Dam.
This beautiful 11 km circular hike takes us through dramatic canyon scenery, forest trails, and panoramic ridgelines high above the River Turia.
We start at the dam and climb around 200 metres to reach an open ridge on the north side of the canyon, where we’ll enjoy fantastic views down into the gorge and across the surrounding mountains. The route then enters shady pine forest as we descend to the river and cross the recently rebuilt footbridge, which reopened this route after the October 2024 floods.
After crossing the river we climb to the south side of the canyon, where we’ll stop in a pleasant shady spot for lunch near a small waterfall.
The return follows a wide forest path along the south side of the canyon back to the dam.

Join us this Easter for a spectacular kayak adventure from Denia to the incredible Cova Tallada — a huge sea cave carved into the cliffs that provided much of the sandstone used to build the historic houses of Jávea.

We’ll launch from a beach south of Denia and paddle along the beautiful coastline to the cave. There will be time to explore inside the cave and swim/snorkel, and sometimes we even have it almost entirely to ourselves as it’s usually only accessible on foot when the sea is very calm.

Just 45 minutes south of Valencia, the Valle de la Murta is a must-do hike for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Nestled within a breathtaking natural park managed by the Ayuntamiento of Alzira, this route offers a perfect mix of scenic beauty, history, and tranquility.
Our 9.5 km circular trail features around 450 meters of ascent, making it an enjoyable medium-level walk with two moderate climbs. The hike begins with a steady ascent to a spectacular horseshoe-shaped ridge, where sweeping views open up over the rice fields of the Albufera. From there, we follow the ridge to the Cruz del Cardenal, a scenic viewpoint overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the charming coastal town of Cullera.
We’ll pause here to enjoy lunch with a view, before descending into the peaceful valley below to explore the atmospheric ruins of an ancient monastery. The walk concludes back in Alzira, where we’ll relax with a refreshing drink in the town’s pretty old quarter — the perfect way to end a memorable day in nature.

Our journey begins with a guided visit to El Palacio de los Condes de Cervellón, affectionately known as “The Little Alhambra.” This enchanting 12th-century palace, with its intricate Arabic architecture, was once home to the Borja family. More recently, it was used as a filming location for “The Captive,” a film about Miguel de Cervantes. Your guided tour is included in the trip price and offers special access to this fascinating historic gem.
A Hidden Gem Awaits – Barranco del Gatillo
After our palace visit, we take a scenic 15-minute drive to Barranco del Gatillo, a secluded and beautiful valley perfect for nature lovers. This is a different walk from the summer Charcos de Quesa route that we usually combine with the Mini Alhambra visit.
This unique 5 km circular walk offers breathtaking scenery, peaceful landscapes, and fascinating history.
What to Expect on the Walk
- Walk through picturesque olive terraces to a ruined farmhouse with a deep nevera (ice house), where we’ll stop for a picnic lunch.
- Continue along a scenic ridge before descending into the hidden valley.
- Discover two abrigos (natural rock shelters) with Iron Age smoke stains still visible on the rock سق—evidence of ancient dwellers.
- Enjoy the tranquility and unspoiled beauty of this secret valley before looping back to the start.
We’ll finish the day with a well-deserved drink in the beautiful town of Enguera, famous for its fountain plaza.
Please note: This is a different walk from the one we run in October. If you are a regular attendee and have already visited the palace but would like to join just for the hike, that’s absolutely fine — we will refund the €5 palace entrance fee if you let us know at least 7 days before departure.
