Montenejos, Barranco Maimona South Side, Cueva Negra

26 May 09.15 Av Aragon 58

30 Guests / 24€ Members

Everyone loves Montenejos, It is an Alpine style village about an hour from Valencia famous for its thermal springs whaich are a constant 23c temperature year round. From the 1st of June there is a charge to enter the thermal springs and it starts to get busy so so lets sqeeze in one last trip before this happens.

We are going to combine the thermal springs with a walk to cueva negra and the south side of Barranco de Maimona.

The walk is relatively short, a 6km semi-circle with around a 400 meter ascent which will allow us to do a detour to Cueva Negra which is impressive particularly when you enter it and look out to the entrance. The shorter route allows us to get to the thermal springs earlier, and spend more time there however it also takes us to the highest point overlooking this spectacular canyon.

BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH 1 litre of water, swimming things and wear appropriate shoes for walking.
